The collection is set to be released in March, 2024. Reprint History Dark Horse Comics īoth stories from Predators were eventually collected, along with the other Predators tie-in comics, as a single trade paperback released in October 2010.įollowing Marvel Comics' acquisition of the rights to Predator comic books, the comic will be collected as part of Marvel's Predator: The Original Years Volume 2 collection, alongside many other early Dark Horse stories. Taking its cues from the Mark Verheiden comic book miniseries Predator Concrete Jungle, Predator 2 was always intended to focus on a homicide detective, albeit originally one who is combatting. #4: Traps are set off and new Predators enter the fray in the blood-drenched conclusion: the set-up for Robert Rodriguez's reboot of the Predator film series! Stories Included #3: The human alliance strains under the threat of the vicious Predators, an elaborate system of traps, and the impossibility of escape, until the men are locked in their own game of cat and mouse against each other. #2: The lone Navy Seal finds himself in an uneasy alliance when he discovers another survivor on the planet - but he also learns that here humans are prey, transplanted from Earth to this alien jungle, to be hunted for sport. They awake to find themselves in a new and more deadly environment, stalked by a strange enemy. Whether or not that will be a sequel to Predators or something entirely different remains to be seen.#1: A team of Navy Seals is in the midst of a firefight when it suddenly goes dark. Now it’s up to Disney for where the character will go next. The very next moment, another man, Cuchillo (Danny Trejo), crashes in front of him and pulls his gun at Royce the moment he gets up. After gaining consciousness, he looks around and has no idea where he is. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t meant to be. He barely manages to get his parachute open and crashes in the middle of a jungle. However, it seems this co-writer had a much better grasp with how to handle a crossover considering it would have been set in the future with the Colonial Marines. Yes, once again the Predators sequel would have linked the Predator franchise with the Alien series. And of course all the other shit that’s there…like the alien zoo on that ship… And get this…the last thing is why Drew was like “wow, I love that idea!” At the end of the day we win, we get back to Earth, we land and we realise it’s the future! All along we thought this was happening now, but what if these guys have been on ice for 300 years? The hatch opens, and the Space Marines come in!” “The idea was now you break free and now you’re trying to take control of the ship with all of the Super Predators you have to fight there. So our guys breakout…and what the movie is is Die Hard on a Predator ship.”Īpparently things took an even larger twist after that point in the story. There’s got to be some sort of big transport. ![]() “At the end of Act One Royce, Isabelle and their guys are captured by Super Predators – on purpose because they allow themselves to be captured – and are brought to their ship that they use to funnel people to this planet. It seems that it would’ve taken a Die Hard styled approach, with Royce and Isabelle battling their way through a Predator spaceship.Īpparently the film begins with Royce and Isabelle still stuck on the alien planet, learning to hunt Predators while having other human survivors join their “tribe.” Eventually they decide they need to make their way back to Earth – which requires the above mentioned spaceship. Predator, which had the alien hunters fighting alien Xenomporphs. It wasn’t until Shane Black had his take, The Predator, released in 2018 that fans got to see the next chapter in the franchise – and it happened to have virtually nothing to do with Predators. The poor box office of the sequel put the franchise on ice until 2004's AVP: Alien Vs. It was the first solo Predator movie since 1990, and the first after the coldly received Alien vs Predator movies. After Predators was released in 2010, audiences were unsure where the franchise would be headed next.
